WINNER OF THE CALL FOR PROPOSALS BY THE CITY OF ROME FOR THE PROMOTION OF EDUCATIONAL PROJECTS AT THE CASA DEI TEATRI  BIENNIAL 2011/2012

An international formative project entitled “Divergencies”, is an innovative theatre workshop led by British director Giles Smith and the Italo-Colombian photographer and film maker Stefania Bonatelli. It will focus on observation, expression and narrative. The workshop will mix narrative, the act of photography, the dramatic text and the actors body.

The project was created by J33tre, and is the first in a series of innovative theatre research projects that will combine diverse artistic techniques and disciplines in order to equip actors, teachers and members of the public with NEW WAYS TO THINK about theatre.

The foundation of the project is its interdisciplinary nature and will be led by two international artists of long artistic experience.

The workshop wiIl take place over two weeks with two a two day showing of the work developed at the end of this period.

It will be open to a minimum of 10 and a maximum of 15 participants.

Each participant is asked to bring their own camera. The technical specifications of the cam- era are not important; it can be a traditional camera or the latest evolution of digital and telephone camera. The diversity of the camera and therefore the diversity of the images taken will be adapted into the work.
